History of The Leading Trade Show for Online Adult

The Phoenix Forum

The Phoenix Forum (TPF) has been the premier educational and networking event for the Adult Business Community for over 16 years, however the event originated under a different name in 2001. Since the event’s start, it has undergone a number of transformations, including location, name and size. One thing that has never changed is the event’s attention to hospitality, education and networking.

As one of the industry’s most anticipated annual events, The Phoenix Forum attracts attendees from across the globe to enjoy a few days in the greater Phoenix area. Attendees and sponsors cover a wide range of types, representing all aspects of the online adult business world. But did you know The Phoenix Forum started as the Southwestern Webmasters Forum in Tucson, Arizona? Once CCBill and Cavecreek took control of the event, it was titled the Desert Forum and, finally, The Phoenix Forum in 2002. Taking place at various resorts around Phoenix, The Phoenix Forum has found its home at the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel for the past 12 years.

The Gay Forum  |   Pride and The Phoenix Forum

The Phoenix Forum has not always included a Pride element, such as it does today. In 2006, five years after The Phoenix Forum began, Gay Phoenix Forum was born. Originally, The Phoenix Forum and Gay Phoenix Forum were two separate events, both produced by CCBill and Cavecreek.

Lasting only a year under the name “Gay Phoenix Forum”, that event and The Phoenix Forum came together as two separate, but equal, entities in 2007. The Phoenix Forum then included gay-focused seminars, itineraries, sponsorships, events and the Pride Lounge. While the Forums had merged, the programs were separated by gay and non-gay.

It was not until 2009 that the gay portion of The Phoenix Forum was fully included in the main itinerary and overall program. Adult businesses of all types were starting to incorporate more than one focus, and gay and non-gay business was becoming more relevant to all attendees. Including more diverse, and less all-gay, panels, The Phoenix Forum continues to be an all-inclusive Adult industry show.
